Reservation, Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Smart Drive Rentals, we reserve equipment, vehicles, and personnel specifically for your booking. To ensure availability and fair scheduling, the following cancellation policy applies.

Reservation & Scheduling Fee

All bookings require a deposit and include a non-refundable $50 Reservation & Scheduling Fee. This fee covers administrative costs associated with processing, scheduling, reserving equipment, and coordinating services.

The $50 Reservation & Scheduling Fee is included within the deposit amount and is retained by Smart Drive Rentals for administrative, scheduling, and reservation costs.

EV & Vehicle Rentals

  • More than 48 hours before pickup: Full refund of the deposit paid, less the non-refundable $50 Reservation & Scheduling Fee.

  • 24–48 hours before pickup: 50% refund of the deposit paid.

  • Less than 24 hours before pickup: Deposit is non-refundable.

  • No-show: Deposit is non-refundable.

Trailer & Equipment Rentals

A 50% reservation deposit is required to secure trailer and equipment rentals.

  • More than 48 hours before scheduled delivery: Full refund of the deposit paid, less the non-refundable $50 Reservation & Scheduling Fee.

  • 24–48 hours before scheduled delivery: 50% refund of the deposit paid.

  • Less than 24 hours before scheduled delivery: Deposit is non-refundable.

  • No-show or refusal of delivery: Deposit is non-refundable.

The remaining rental balance is due upon delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Chauffeur Services

  • More than 72 hours before service: Full refund of the deposit paid, less the non-refundable $50 Reservation & Scheduling Fee.

  • 24–72 hours before service: 50% refund of the deposit paid.

  • Less than 24 hours before service: Deposit is non-refundable.

  • No-show: Deposit is non-refundable.

Emergency EV Charging & Roadside Assistance

Once a technician has been dispatched, all service fees become non-refundable.

Booking Modifications

Requests to change a reservation date, time, or location must be submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled service time and are subject to availability.

Modification requests are not guaranteed and may result in additional charges.

Weather and Unforeseen Circumstances

Smart Drive Rentals reserves the right to reschedule or cancel services due to severe weather, unsafe road conditions, equipment failure, government restrictions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, customers may receive a credit toward a future booking or a refund at Smart Drive Rentals' discretion.

How to Cancel

To cancel a reservation, please contact Smart Drive Rentals as soon as possible and provide your booking reference number.
